Beat Battles

Privacy

Last changed 24 October 2026. What Beat Battles keeps, who can see it, and for how long.

Your account

Your email, your password (scrambled, never readable) and the computers you sign in to SoundLens on. Only you and SoundLens see these.

Your producer profile

Your producer name, display name, picture, bio, Instagram, intro, points, rank and results. Everyone can see these.

Your beats

  • While a battle is open, only you hear your beat.
  • During voting it's played to voters without your name.
  • After results it's public with your name.

DAW replays

  • While you share your DAW and there's a beat to make, a picture of the window you picked is saved every 5 seconds.
  • Only you and the moderators can watch your replay until results are in. After that, everyone can.
  • The top 3 of each event and each round's winner keep their replay. Everyone else's is deleted 30 days after results.
  • If you recorded but didn't hand in a beat, the recording is deleted 2 days after uploads close.

Voice and camera

  • Your voice, your camera and your live screen go straight to the other players in your match or party.
  • They're never recorded or stored. The only exception is the DAW replay pictures above.
  • Direct calls show your IP address to the other people in the call; that's how every direct call works.
  • Your camera only turns on when you press Camera.

Messages

  • Messages between friends are stored so you can read them later.
  • Moderators only see a message if it gets reported.

Votes, comments and activity

  • Your votes are private. They're used to work out results and to spot cheating, together with a scrambled code for your network.
  • Comments are public.
  • Things you do in Battles (joining, entering, winning) appear in the public activity feed.

Phone alerts

If you turn them on, your browser gives us an address to send alerts to. Turn them off any time from your menu.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and there are no ad trackers in Beat Battles.

Deleting your data

  • Delete your Battles profile, beats, replays and messages yourself: Edit profile, then Delete my Battles profile at the bottom. It happens straight away.
  • Past results stay, shown as "Deleted producer", so nobody else's place changes.
  • Your SoundLens login is also your app license. To delete that too, or for any other question, email soundlensmail@gmail.com.
