Beat Battles

Rules

Last changed 24 October 2026. Scoring and how winners are picked: How it works.

Who can play

• You have to be 13 or older. If you're under 18, get a parent's or guardian's okay first.
• One account per person. Extra accounts get removed along with everything they won.

Your beats

• Make your beat yourself, from the sample you were given, during the battle or round.
• Only use sounds you have the right to use: your own, or packs and plugins whose license allows it.
• No beats made by someone else, and no beats generated whole by AI.
• You keep owning your beat. By entering, you let SoundLens host it, play it in Battles (voting, results, showcases, your profile) and show short clips of it when promoting Battles, with your name on it.
• Use the sample only for your entry. If you want to use it anywhere else, check the credit on the reel.
• Flips: if you tick "Let others flip this", anyone signed in can download your beat and make their own Beat Battles flip from it, with credit to you. Deleting it takes it off SoundLens, but copies already downloaded can't be taken back. Flipping someone's beat means making your own beat from it here, not releasing their beat as yours anywhere else.

Share DAW

• In Ranked, share your DAW the whole time you make the beat. It records your replay, and a beat without one doesn't count.
• Everywhere else it's optional. If you do share, your beat gets a ✓ Verified badge.
• Share the window where you're really making the beat. Playing back a recording, sharing someone else's screen or faking a session is cheating.
• Pick your DAW's window, not your whole screen, so nothing private shows up in your replay.

Voting fair

• No vote trading, no extra accounts and no getting people to vote for you.
• Unusual voting patterns are reviewed and can be thrown out.

How to act

In voice, on camera, in messages, comments, profiles and beat titles:

• No harassment, hate, threats or bullying.
• No sexual content or nudity, and keep the camera on you and your setup.
• No sharing someone's private information, and no pretending to be someone else.
• No spam, scams or selling.

Reports, and what happens

• Use Report (⚑ or the ••• menu) on a player, a beat, a comment or a message. Moderators look at every report.
• Depending on what happened, we can warn you, remove an entry, take away points or rank, or suspend your account.
• A suspended account can't play, enter, vote, comment, talk in voice or send messages.
• You can block anyone. They can't invite you, message you, comment on your beats or land in your matches.
